新建的11号厂区位于科杰尼采附近，发电功率可达1075MW，是欧洲最大的燃煤发电厂，也是世界上同类最先进的发电厂之一。在涡轮机基础的主体建筑的施工时，浇筑了大型的钢筋混凝土建筑结构。

在11号厂区新建的同时，还需要对科杰尼采电厂的现有设施进行现代化改造，例如: 为1-8厂区安装新的废气脱硫设备。
